Cape Tour

Cape Tour Started off well with a good nite @ FICTION where JOINT NATION RECORDS was hosted by the Big Boys of Techno in the Cape, Killer Robot. Rob Toca and Rob Sloan combined forces to Represent for the Crew. The Night was a good one!!

Second Leg was @ the outdoor electronic festival "Big bang in the Bush" which was not a suceessful event on the side of the festival as they neva had a great turn out. Once again Rob Toca and Sloan were representing, for the Crew playing another Colab set. Better luck next time guys.

The last and Final Leg of the tour was A Land Called Hysterica, at this event we had four of the Joint Nation Boys Representing, ROb Toca, Sloan, Whitey Dvine and R'Rimto. Whitey played first on the friday followed up by Rob Sloan, these were rocking sets, Sat saw another call up of both these boys to colab for a 3 hour SET. This set was said to start the festivities off for the day!! :) The next set of the night was D'Ritmo, he turn up the volume and picked up the tempo for the night!! What a great performance!!

The Last set of the tour was done by the Captain himself Rob Toca, who glided the way through the afternoon session on Sunday giving us those groovey minimaltech tunes and a perfect way to end of a successful tour!!!

During this time as well, Toca and Sloan had time to get down to the studio and put some time in to a track @ the REDBULL Studios, big up Ivan for letting use their space.

JOINT NATION CREW GOIN ON TOUR

After a successful trip to the Tropics, Ponta D'Ouro Mozambique. The Joint Nation Boys travel to the mother city aka Cape Town or the Slaap Stad. One Thing is for sure there will be none of that thing called sleep. We wil be rokcing the city and keeping the Capetonians awake and entertained.

The tour starts off on 23rd Arpil, on Friday with Joint Nation being held @ KillerRobot [Ficiton] Dj: Rob Toca, Rob Sloan and Resident KILLER ROBOTs Bruno and Ivan.

The Second leg to the tour the boys will be heading off to the wilderness for Big Bang in the Bush on the 26th & 27th April, DJs Rob Toca and Rob Sloan.

Final part of the tour is a major outdoor festival, seeing two big names in SA underground scene linking up with Fu-Cha (JHB) and Psynoptics(CT) for a weekend to remember, A Land Called Hysterica will be seeing 4 Members of the Joint Nation Crew representing. DJs Rob Toca, Rob Sloan, D'Ritmo and Whitey Divine.

This is gona be a rocking one. So for all of you that will be down in CT be sure not to miss us. And for all that will be missing us, be sure to catch the videos and Pics of the Tour.

End of 2009 Urban Underground launched deep within the streets of City Deep, tapping into the energy of the city at night and providing a soundtrack of tasty rumbling techno to tickle your body into the weekend. Hauling in muscle from Cape Town in the form of Killer Robot’s Bruno Morphet and his passion for dark and moody basslines; he enticed a bevy of curious ears, feet and gyrating hips to set the tone for UU’s unique contribution to Johannesburg’s nightlife.

Returning for a second intimate instalment, again dipping into the electronic pool at the foot of the mountain, Urban Underground brings the deeper, emotional techno flavour of KR’s second brother, Ivan. Promising a metropolitan inspired technalysis like no other, this is going to be night worthy of winding your best techno arm in all directions! !

Expect lots of people who like dancing and smiling and being merry even when it’s not Christmas! Oh and there’s also the part where Ivan played with Kevin Saunderson last year; so basically, we love him- and you will too!

Urban Underground. The electronic reverberation in the city and under it at the same time! We got you covered. ;)
